So...

Ive been getting a lot of complaints about my art lately!! :(

Pretty much, people think that my art is too dark and depressing or whatever :/

IS MY ART THAT DEPRESSING?(please tell me what you think)

I mean sure, not everyone in my pictures are smiling, but i feel as an artist, it is important to draw what you feel and express yourself with your art. I always follow my instincts when drawing a picture, and they rarely say "BIG SMILE NOW!!!!" lol. So I guess when I'm a little happier in life I'll star drawing those smiles, but until now bear with me :/

i dont think u should take it to heart that they think youre art is depressing. i mean look at edward munch. his art is really depressing and spokky. and he was a genius. besides i like youre art and theres a bunch of others that does as well

i don`t think you are dark, or your art. and yes, it`s important to draw what you feel, because that is the only way to show the world who you really are. besides, i love your art and i love darkness, it is not easy to show the sadness in the eyes of a painted woman

Just so you know....the last thing I would call your work is dark or depressing. Thought-provoking, yes. Emotional (for lack of a better word), yes. But not all art is hearts and flowers and I think you do an amazing job at capturing feeling in your art. Screw the negativity.....your work is great....
